How to Earn Income from eBay’s Affiliate Program

user Posted by admin | date bullet January 30th, 2008

The eBay Affiliate program enables you to earn commission for every item sold on eBay - providing, of course, that the buyer has linked to eBay via your affiliate link. The eBay affiliate program offers some interesting alternatives for affiliate marketers and is worth serious consideration, especially if you are marketing or promoting high ticket items.

eBay’s affiliate program is run in the U.S. and UK by Commission Junction and in Germany by Affilinet. You must first become a member of either of these sites, and once accepted, you then apply to the eBay Affiliate program through a link on these sites.

By clicking on the affiliate link on the eBay site, you will be taken to a page with more information and a link to Commission Junction’s application form.

In order to be accepted as an Affiliate for eBay, you will need to provide details that include your website address, purpose of your site, your site content and so on. The application is then examined by eBay; your website is checked, and if everything meets their standards then you are approved.

Once you have been approved as an eBay Affiliate, you can use any of the affiliate tools eBay provides to create some interesting product and marketing campaigns for your website.

As with any affiliate program, when a potential buyer sees something of interest and clicks a link from your site, when they make a purchase your affiliate ID is credited with the sale and you earn the resulting commission.

As an example, I have set up a small ‘Product Review Site’ to enable customers to evalute DVD’s currently listed on eBay. When someone clicks a link from the little storefront shown below, and goes on to search and purchase any item (from any category on eBay) and completes the purchase, I earn the resulting commission.

The example below was created with the ‘Product Kit’ tool from the eBay ‘Tools’ page at: http://affiliates.ebay.com/ns/Tools.htm

The DVDs shown below are a very low ticket item product, but one that serves well as an example of the type of marketing links you are able to generate as an eBay affiliate. It goes without saying, the higher the purchase price on the items you promote - the higher your commission payment will be.

I like the eBay Affiliate program because you can create so many different types of links, RSS feeds and so much more. Because of eBay’s extensive category list, you have an unlimited number of products to choose from that tie in well with related content on just about any type of website.

You could build an entire Affiliate Sales empire by simply incorporating listings from eBay into your website.

A Suggestion for Anyone Who Wants to Start Affiliate Marketing…

user Posted by admin | date bullet January 22nd, 2008

If you have taken the time to read through some of the posts on this site, I can well imagine what you look like right about now. Hair sticking straight out, eyeballs crossed, beads of sweat dotting your forehead…

Not to mention the migraine that simply won’t let up no matter how many ice packs you stack on top of your head.

Affiliate marketing is not easy. It is a profession that requires detailed education, business planning, strategic marketing and of course, a professional attitude and approach. Affiliate selling is a profession. Treat it as such and you will prosper. Eventually. Nothing happens overnight in the field of online sales and marketing regardless of what some shifty ‘product pushers’ would have you believe.

I have a suggestion for you.

If you are serious about wanting to learn the ins and outs of affiliate sales and marketing, do yourself a favor.

Buy a HerbalBiz website. For a $49 investment you simply can’t go wrong. You will have a top quality website, plus top quality products to promote PLUS top quality, exceptional training and resources at your fingertips.

If you want your own affiliate sales site and don’t know where to begin, then invest $49 and purchase a full-fledged herbal business website. By so doing, you will have a quality site stocked with excellent products. You will have complete access to the Market Health website and all their excellent resources as part of the deal.

By taking this introductory approach to online affiliate selling you will also learn the ropes of affiliate marketing. Once you start generating sales from your website, move on to a new product or service. If you don’t make any money you will have lost $50. However, in the interim you will also have gained a wealth of information that would cost you thousands of dollars elsewhere.

Here is my affiliate link to the Market Health Herbal Business offer. Go there and check it out.

HerbalBiz

As quoted from the Market Heath HerbalBiz website:

“If you have ever looked into owning your own commercial business, you will know how great the financial investment, and therefore the risk, is involved with becoming your own boss. Perhaps you do not have the financial resources to start your own store, feel like you don’t want to work “regular” 9-5 hours or you cannot expose your family to the financial risk and insecurity of giving up your job to start a business.

HerbalBiz.com offers you an alternative: you can have all the benefits of owning your own store, without exposing yourself and your family to the financial risks!

You don’t need to give up your regular job right away, build your business first!

Don’t borrow hundreds of thousands of dollars to start a business, without knowing if it will be successful.

Don’t get in debt to stock your store with products you may not sell.”

DO check the HerbalBiz offer.

I can personally vouch for the Market Health affiliate programs because I use them myself. The products are excellent. Sales are steady. And the amount of information and resources provided by Market Health are quite simply, outstanding.

Once you learn the ropes of online affiliate selling, move on to other venues.

For example, if you are familiar with web page design, html, ftp programs and the like, you can get a branded affiliate sales site from Market Health to upload to your own, private domain name.

Introducing the All-New PepperJam Affiliate Network

user Posted by admin | date bullet January 18th, 2008

I was quite pleased to discover the new PepperJam Affiliate Network recently in my online travels. I think this new network has some great vendors.

For example, with the popularity of YouTube and other video sites, many people are looking for a service to copy, backup or burn their DVD’s to an iPod or PSP.

While the selection of vendors is relatively small compared to some of the bigname affiliate networks, the selection is fabulous.

If you are looking for some excellent products to promote, you will do well for yourself to check out what Pepperjam has to offer.

Here is a quote from the Pepperjam site:

Pepperjam Network (PJN) is a next generation affiliate marketing network, which addresses two primary issues that have been lacking in the affiliate marketing industry for years: (1) poor and unreliable communication tools and (2) lack of transparency. With PJN, affiliates and merchants can communicate in real-time via Pepperjam Chat™, thereby providing a reliable communication system to build better, more profitable partnerships. PJN also provides affiliates and merchants with a measure of transparency, which helps to establish trust and lays the groundwork for open, long-term, profitable relationships.

PJN is designed to make the experience of affiliate marketing profitable and educational for both merchants and affiliates. Unlike most other traditional networks PJN uses Web 2.0 technology to provide affiliates and merchants with an easy-to-use, clean interface. In addition, PJN offers industry leading SID-level tracking and reporting - this robust technology is especially beneficial to search marketing and sophisticated super affiliates that want to take advantage of the most up-to-date technology available to track at the keyword level.

Visit Pepperjam.
