Audio input on an affiliate website is a great way to attract customer’s attention and allow them to listen to your message, and/or sales pitch. If you want to expand the reach of your affiliate sales site, perhaps adding a short podcast to your site is the way to go. However, if you don’t have the equipment or know how to create a podcast, then you should take a peek at the text to voice conversion being offered by Odiogo.
You can use Odiogo’s online services to automatically convert internet articles and blog posts into iPod ready, high fidelity audio files, which can then be automatically uploaded to iPods and MP3 players.
If you want to see this service in action, take a peek at http://www.techiediva.com/
Click the “Listen Now” button immediately under the post title.
For a bit of a chuckle, scroll down to the Mousefone post. There is a typo in the message and the robot reads the typo perfectly. The line with the typo is in the Mousefone post: Another nice feature is the independent sound chip for handling Softphone VoIP Voice Quailty. The Robot reads “Quailty” absolutely perfectly. I’m sure the author intended to type ‘Quality’ but the robot is an obedient servant and simply reads what he sees.
Although the voice is a bit stilted, it is remarkably good. I can see lots of potential for adding this service to a blog or website, and once I get two minutes in a row to call my own, I’m going to do exactly that!
Enjoy!
